Our 13th Annual #ThxBirthControl Day

November 13, 2025
Woman holding an IUD for the 13th Thanks, Birth Control Day

Birth control helps people manage health conditions, plan their futures, and feel more in control of their lives. As reproductive rights face ongoing threats, this year’s #ThxBirthControl Day was a reminder of why keeping contraception in the conversation matters. Across social media, our partners joined us to share stories, uplift our resources, combat misinformation, and support access to birth control for all.

While we heard from so many health care providers, educators, and partner organizations, young people and influencers also joined the celebration by sharing their stories, inspiring others to stay engaged, and uplifting reliable resources, like Bedsider.org. Thanks, Birth Control Day encourages everyone to speak about the benefits of birth control in their own lives while also supporting the policies and organizations that work to increase access across the US.

We heard from:

Influencers sharing their stories:

Providers explaining the health benefits of different birth control methods:

Sex educators highlighting the importance of finding a method that best fits your lifestyle:

Students sharing resources with their peers:

Young people working to destigmatize birth control and fight misinformation:

@verynormalgirl1 happy #ThxBirthControl day! so grateful for the innovations in medicine that have granted us more autonomy & choice! after the pill was approved in 1960, women’s involvement in education and the workforce skyrocketed — it’s so disappointing to see people use the same scare tactics of the 60s to try & limit access to lifesaving medication @Bedsider #birthcontrol #womenshealth #reproductiverights ♬ original sound - priya

Policymakers encouraging constituents to support policies that protect access to birth control:

Advocates speaking on the ongoing attacks against reproductive care:

Trusted organizations reminding people that resources are available, and organizations are working to continue providing birth control to all:

We’re grateful for each and every person who showed up to say #ThxBirthControl with us.! Your stories are key to showing the world why access to the full range of contraceptive methods matters!.

Special thanks to our 2025 sponsors, including Bayer.
